Borks is product partner in Denmark's participation at the world exhibition EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, which runs from the 1st May to 31st October 2010.
Borks exhibits multiple magnetic glass panels at the Danish pavilion, including the office environment where the General Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner-General will receive official visitors. The pavilions official VIP guests will be various corporate, public authority and royal representatives.
There is established a national committee in charge of Denmark's participation, with HRH Crown Prince as chairman and with the participation of Economy and Business Affairs and Others. The practical and economic management of the participation is carried out by Enterprise and Construction Management of the Economy, Trade and Industry Ministry.
World Exhibition EXPO 2010 in Shanghai is held under the theme Better City - Better Life. It promises to be the largest and most comprehensive exhibition in the World Exhibitions 150-year history. Nearly 230 countries and international organizations are represented, and around 70 million visitors are expected during the exhibition period.
Denmark participates with its own pavilion, which is listed on a 3,000 m2 floor space. The pavilion is called Welfairytales. Welfairytales is based on the overarching theme and highlights Danish competencies as welfare, quality of life and renewable energy and sustainability. Welfairytales presents additionally H.C. Andersen's homeland and therefore is The Little Mermaid also in place in the pavilion.
Up to three million visitors are expected in the Danish pavilion.
